Help to Disable Voice recorder button

I did a search of the forums and found nothing. What I want to do is disable the Voice Recorder Button on my NX. I keep bumping it and accidently recording several minutes of garbled [in the belt case] sound that I then have to delete. This serves as aggrivation and a drain on the battery. I know I can just switch it to HOLD, but sometimes I forget and the only button that's a problem is that one. :mad:

There is currently a similar thread about the voice recorder button but related to the Sony TH-55, may be the thread helps you or may be not depending on how different both PEGies are.

I did a little searching for a solution and found one that is half way toward what you are looking for. Try THe Go! Go! It is for the TH, but I just tried it out on my NX-80. This little app allows you to remap the Voice Rec button to perform a hotsync or voice recording and to remap the Capture button as a power switch. As to the Voice Rec button, I set it to 'Disbale Short Push' so the Voice Recorder is not activated as easily. Another option is to invoke either the Voice Recorder or Hotsync via a 'long' push. Choosing long push will take about two seconds or so for the voice recorder to turn on. Even though you cannot fully disable the Voice Rec button, it may help prevent recording the inside of your, I am sure very trendy, belt case.

Addendum: I just realized that you can set the Voice Rec button long press time between 1 and 7 seconds.
