HI all,
I have been using the NR70V for a while and it connects with my Mac without problem, using Missing Sync. Can I connect the newly purchased NX70V to Mac using the same Missing Sync software?
Any suggestions/directions on how to use it with Mac would be appreciated.

I did the same upgrade without a problem. Just make sure to download the MissingSync updater (to version 3.04) which supports Palm OS 5 and the NX series. It's free for registered users.

One thing that I can tell you, just don't directly HotSync your new NX70 to the NR70 data. It may cause problems due to the different operating systems. Additionally Sony warns against doing so, but it's hidden in one of the CD ROM manuals.
Yes, but you'll need v3.0.4 beta for it to work on the NX. BTW, I am not a MAC person.
Here is a link to Mark/Space support:

Thanks. But how do I transfer the current data to my new NX?

Very carefully and manually. Copy the HotSync name folder contents to a safe place on your drive. Delete the contents of the existing folder. Backup your Clie to the memory stick. Later on, you can try your apps one at a time from the MS Backup folder with one of the newer launchers that has a built-in file manager.
For databases, like datebook, contacts, memos, to do's and such, you can beam them from the other Clie or copy them from your back up folder. Files like saved and unsaved preferences may contain settings not compatible with OS5. I thought I'd warn you ahead of time, before you start having all kinds of crashes, fatal errors and the like. A little time spent now, will save a big headache later. Yes, some have done it straight away and got away with it, but be forewarned, the rest is up to you.

I can do the hot sync by IR with my powerbook to NX without installing any other 3rd party software.
