I have 2 software issues:
I can't get Text Plus to work with my Docs to Go. It works in my other programs, but not Doc to Go. Additionally, it works in all programs on my UX50, but not my VZ90.
When I watch a movie with FMP, the screen goes into sleep mode. It doesn't happen in Media Center, but FMP is more forgiving and lets me rename files.
Any ideas on how to get these programs to work correctly on my VZ90 would be greatly appreciated.

Ok. I've solved the TextPlus issue. The new TextPlus 5.8 works with the old DocToGo 6.008. Fortunately I saved a copy of my old Docs To Go so I didn't have to repay for it. The new Docs To Go is wonderful, but not if I have to give up TextPlus.

Ok. The problem with my Wi-Fi was a firmware upgrade for my Linksys. It's happened in the past with the UX50. This time I bought a new and faster router (the money we spend to make these babies work); oh well. The only issue I have left is that my VZ90 goes into sleep mode while I'm watching movies in FMP. It doesn't go into sleep mode in Media Laucher, but the media laucher doesn't have all the cool FMP functions. Any ideas on how to handle this last issue will be greatly appreciated.

I tried on my VZ90 and I got the same "screen off" issue. I still have sound but screen turns off :)
I tried to use some programs like "always on, setautooff, aoctrl DA" to change the auto Off feature, but it turns out it did not change a thing. My guess is that Sony implemented a new feature just for the screen on the VZ90. Perhaps the ML disables this timer and not FMP because FMP does not turn it off?
It seems the time goes off after 5 minutes, so it's definitly not the standard Palm OS timer (3 minutes max in Configuration tab).
Now, does CliePet wants to take a look is another problem, ask him ;)

I tried it, but it stated it was incompatible with the VZ90 when I attempted to enable it. I'm so glad both you and lmame are looking at it and making suggestions. The idea that there is something in the ML that turns the dimmer option off makes sense and I'm glad to learn that it's a feature that's been implemented in the VZ90 instead of issue with a certain VZ90 batch. BTW, I think that it would be better if someone came up with a way for dimmer to work on the VZ90, because it also happens in e-reader programs if you use the scroll feature instead of clicking from page to page. However, if CliePet came up with a way for it to not happen with the FMP that would be the most effective, because that's the program that I sit on the stand and watch the movie roll.

thats bizzar. the ux and the vz share the same specifications. maybe its got to do with the oled display?
you sure you got the latest version? 2.14.
lmame, can you confirm this?

I've double checked. The version I'm using is 2.14 and it doesn't allow you to check the box to enable it.

I confirm, I tried the 2.14 and I got the same error message.
My guess is indeed there is something about the OLED display.
I contacted Enery Dimmer developers as it seems that they are working on the 1.25 version, so perhaps they could handle VZ too, I'm waiting for their answer.

Ok it was fast I received a mail with a beta of Energy Dimmer this morning that enables VZ 90 support.
You can launch and enable Energy Dimmer now, but as the other softwares, it does not cancel the "OLED screen off" timer :p

OK if it doesn't cancel the "OLED screen off" timer, what does it do for us VZ90 users?

Well you still have the Auto Off and the auto dim function (after 30 seconds of idle, the screen dims to 19% for example ) I guess, you can make / choose several profiles and simply access the profils taping the "sun" icon for example.
