Need advice on a Clie for short term use - T415 or SL10?

I'm going to buy a cheap used Sony Clie to hold me over until the rumored new Clie models come out. My IBM Workpad (IBM version of the Palm 3) broke a couple of weeks ago and I'm having a tough time surviving without one. I think I can get a T415 or SL10 for cheap on eBay. Their specs look very similar so I was wondering if anybody had any advice as to which one to get. Thanks in advance.

Both are very similar. The main difference is the *shape* or form-factor. If that doesn't matter, get whichever's cheapest.

SL-10 aaa batteries
T-415 i think is rechargeable
SL-10 has normal green-black screen
Think 415 as a white backlit screen
Think of the SJ-20?

I checked and you're right that the SL10 takes AAA batteries and the T415 is rechargeable but they both have the hi-res 320x320 monochrome screen. I don't really like dealing with rechargeable batteries but I like the slimmer form factor of the T415. I'd also consider the SJ20 which looks like it replaced the SL10. The only difference is that it has 16mb of ram and rechargeable batteries. Considering this is for short term use, I don't think I'll need the extra ram.

SJ-20 has a white backlight like color. Better screen than SL-10!

The T415 has the "Indiglo" backlight, not the SL20 white backlight. The T415 also has enhanced sound, and enhanced IR. It is also the thinnest Palm PDA ever made.

There is no comparison b/w the SJ10 and SJ20 screens. I have a SJ20 and I found the SJ10 screen to be much harder to read. The SJ20 white screen is great. Also, I think a SJ20 would hold its value better than SJ10 in case you intend to sell it after your dream Clie comes in.

By the way, you may want to check overstock.com for refurbished SJ10 and SJ20's.
