Can't make new bluetooth connection HELP!!

When creating a new connection to be able to surf sync whatever via bluetooth the NZ can't find any devices??? However under prefs bluetooth I have two trusted devices which it finds everytime. What on earth am I doing wrong????

Is the device you want to connect to set to "discoverable"?

That's what has me so confused. When you go into prefs, then bluetooth the pc I'm trying to connect to is discoverable and has been added to my trusted places. However I can't make any type of connection with it.
