I am having trouble calibrating the pen on my ux-50. Its never straight. its like always going on the right. Is it possible the pen is not good no more? Or is my clie dying?

It is very unlikely that the stylus is at fault.

Does anyone have any experience of a digitizer with faulty alignment?

When in setup, tap to the left of the target to compensate :)

Well, I have experienced that too but I was just a newbish little pda user then. One thing I realized that I did wrong was that when I tapped on the dot, I was holding the stylus in such a way that wasn't "natural". Maybe your tapping by staring down the barrel and hitting it dead center with your stylus. That would be a miscalculation on your part. Some stylus tend to have a more rounded or well... "wider" tip, so when your holding it at an angle like we normally would to write something (with a pencil), we hit with the somewhat protruding part of the stylus tip (which is not a point but a rounded end). Therefore, it does not exactly tap on the dot. Regardless, I believe that would be the best way to calibrate as I will ALWAYS hold my pen in that position when I tap on the screen. I think you should try to tap to the left like palo1 said if my suggestion fails. Lol, good luck!
