Don't know about you people out there, but I've noticed that OS 10.2.5 syncing with "Missing Sync" on my Sony TG50 works great.

It used to take me 3-4 tries, but now it works just about every time.

Definite improvment in my book.

Thanks Apple!

I'm just about to lose it, or return my TG50 and try something else more compatible. I'm now running OSX 10.2.5, Missing Sync 3.0.5, and isync.

I am unable to get ical to sync. What am I forgetting to do here? Its going to be a dealbreaker if I cant sync my ical. Do I need to load some other kind of calendar software into the TG50 that would sync with ical?

When you start the Hostsync on your palm, does it start iSync automatically for you?

Yes it does start isync immediately.

when i watch the isync messages flying by at the bottom of the isync window, it gets to "syncing 4/4 .mac items" and then it says "synchronization failed".

any thoughts...

Have you tried looking at the Hotsync log?

No. The hotsync log, not the isync log.

I have not yet purchased a memory stick for the device...is iCal not syncing because it doesnt have a memory stick to write to by chance?

Nope. A memory stick has nothing to do w/ it.

should i do some kind of reset of the device?

I don't think the problem is w/ your CLIE. I think it's a config issue w/ your mac. I just got the log and I hope to go thru it sometime later today.
