I have quite a few downloaded albums from Itunes that I won't to load on my TJ35, but they are not the correct format (I am presuming). From the info I have found, they are protected MP4 format. What can I do to play this music without purchasing more software? Thanks

On Mac OS X, there is an application named "Audio HiJack"
There is a way to do it on Windows, but I am a Mac guy.

That doesn't work with the latest version of iTunes :(

you always can play the songs and record it again to mp3 with some other software, there should be some software which makes it a bit faster then the usual 1x speed

Anyone know what software would do this? The songs are the latest version so I guess removing the DRM won't work.

The easiest way is to burn to CD-RW (so you can erase it afterwards) and re-rip to iTunes.

Tunebite is one of a few apps that will allow you to record a DRM proptected audio file to mp3, ogg or wma. I purchased it a few weeks ago after learning about the evil DRM. This software does not defeat or strip out DRM; that is illegal. What is does is record the output of the DRM protected files from your sound card in one of these formats. I am sure there may be a slight loss in quality, but, at least you get to use the songs you paid for. www.tunebite.com

Tune Bite is like a Windows version of AudioHijack :)

Some other options for Windows are Replay Music and Virtual Audio Cable (both $)
For MacOS X, a free alternative to Audio Hijack is WireTap; there's also SoundFlower, which allows you to do much more than either of the other programs, without using haxies (and is also free).

Didn't have to get any software. Just copied the files to a CD, then ripped it as an MP3. When I transferred the music to my TJ35, it played. Thanks to all.

you can "burn" a image file instead of a real cd. then mount it with virtualcd or something similar and rip. goes faster and you don't waste any cd-r.
