I know of the FlashTrax series from smartdisk and the nikon coolwalker... I am looking for ideas.... not ready to buy just yet, but I am idea shopping, know how much I need, and when....

A) I only shoot digital RAW (Nikon NEF format)
B) I would like review capability (see what I shot yesterday to see if I can do better)
C) I would like zoom if possible (Coolwalker doesn't zoom NEF, and FlashTrax only zooms the preview jpeg embedded in the NEF which is only a thumbnail for NEF)

There are a couple new ones at PMA this last week, Epson and Sony do multi-media, but they don't fully support NEF (they can copy, but not show).

anyone else know of anything?

Other popular ones are the Epson P2000/P4000 and the one from Creative (I think its Zen Vision or something). I know the Epson can view raw, im not sure about Creative's.

You might want to wait for Apple's Feb 28 announcement though. ;)

I will wait through at least march... probably closer to april. PMA is Feb 26 through March 1, so although pre-announcements/leaks are out, the real thing doesn't start until tomorrow.

I am not going to jump right away. I have a 40gb iPod, and I can either shoot half a card of images before copying (about 90 images max) or stop it half way, manually delete the first half of the images and then copy the rest.... So I have something that is functional, just not desireable... :)

I wish openRAW was here already... :)
