What is the difference between these two apps? Which one is better?

There is no comparison.

The apps do different things entirely.

JackFlash enables you to store apps in flash memory.

PowerRun is an utility that moves applications to the card, but instead of just the app, it moves the app and all the associated databases. In some cases this is better (say, if the databases are really large). PowerRun also allows you to put apps in any category without using a 3rd party launcher.

You may want to do a search in the forums, as there are extensive threads on both.

GOOD LUCK!

JackFlash for speed. PowerRun for lowest cost per MB of freed storage. On my NR, JackFlash only indicates I have 384kb I can use. For 19.95, that seem expensive. PowerRun make your entire MS available, but it is very very slow on non-OS5 devices. I prefer MSMount over both, but it doesn't run on OS5, if that is what you have.

Non-OS5 users can also buy JackSprat to free up additional ROM. On my NR, I can potentially free up a total of 3.3MB by deleting apps I don't use from ROM, but it comes with the risk of doing serious, irreperable damage to you Clie and an additional $7.95 out of pocket cost, in addition to the cost of JackFlash. Now it is not only expensive per MB( although cheaper than JackFlash alone), but also very risky.

I use jackflash to store larger regularly used files in flash (wordsmith, powerOne personal, shadowplan, datebk5, contacts4, etc) so that they can be quickly accessed.

Jackflash isn't hat useful on the NR without jacksprat, using jacksprat you can delete the CLie Demo file, which is for in-store demos, and takes up 2mb, so it's nice having these 2 mb freed up.
