I'm confused by all the maps that Tom Tom includes with the Navigator 5 program. I have a 2G SD card so space isn't a problem. It appears that all the major maps are just the regions, but all the later cd's just have various components of the larger maps.

I think I have the Major US roads and highways loaded and it has all the roads here in LA that I use. What is this map missing?

The first map cd has the installer on it to let you pick which group(s) of maps you want to install. They break it up so people don't need 2 GB SD cards to use the maps.

As I understand it, if you pick an "aggregated" map, you can move from state to state within those maps with no problem. If you have space constraints, you can add individual states or smaller groupings. The key is that if you install the Midwest map, you can go from MI to OH to KY seemlessly whereas if you installed MI, OH and KY separately, you would have to "piece your journey together" stopping at each border to change maps.

Can anyone else confirm this?
