I have an NX80v that keeps freezeing up, crashing or forcing me to do interminable resets. I hadn't installed anything new- it just started without warning.
I have researched the T/X and am considering the switch but have a chance to buy a T/H instead. Any advice?
Also, if I migrate all my current apps over to the T/H do you think I will be transferring my current problem? I should mention that I did a hard reset and the freezing continued in the "Basic State" so I think that the problem may be in the CPU of the unit.
Thanks for any replies.

I have hear a lot of people talking about that.
Get a TH55/E :)

Go with the TH55 all the way. I had an NX80v and loved it, but the TH55 blows it away. I wouldn't try migrating . . . that's just asking for problems, and if done with the care that it would require to be done right, it would take as long and be as tedious as starting from scratch. Starting from scratch will insure a nice clean build on your new device.

If you search, you'll find enough negative comments about the T/X to scare me away, anyway, don't know about you . . . too frequent resets being the #1 complaint.

Well, one thing is for sure... migrating to TX will force to install from scratch every single application. Don't event try to restore your previous files. It will mess up your TX. I've heard about this and my neighbour just confirmed (he had a NX80v). There are also some applications that will have problems running in TX that were OK in the NX - just hotsync the PIM.
I'm also considering TH over TX...

Hi,

I've just purchased a TH55 to replace an NX80V, on which the camera has failed, and really like it. I'll still keep the NX80V but the TH55 has become the PDA I carry every day. I decided to install everything from scratch on the TH55 and just used the migration tool to sync ToDo, Memo's etc.

It's pretty amazing that two years after coming to market, the TH55 is still the best PDA there is. NO OTHER PDA comes close to being able to claim that.

Yeah... as a goodbye gift, Sony could have done a lot worse ;)

I wish they hadn't pulled out 'tho... :(

What boggles me is that Palm are STILL unable to learn!!

All they need to do is take a TH55, fix all the stupid things that it has (No FAT32 support, no dual WiFi/BT, rubbish buttons, no 5-way etc.), maybe boost it a bit (Slightly faster CPU, more RAM (Not NVFS!!!!), longer battery life, maybe have an internal Flash drive, replace MS with SD slot (or have both!), add the Zod2's vid chip etc.) and deffo keep all the Sony OS hacks (VG, Silk Plugin API, etc.) and they'd KILL every PDA out there.

But instead they give us yet more medicocre dross!

Seriously, I bet if you put Kirvin and Surur in a room together, they would *STILL* manage to design a better PDA than Palm!! (Although it would probably be written in blood and entrails... :D)

Go with the Th. I moved from a NZ90 to a 55 and really don't have any complaints. I broke the screen on my '55 and picked up a t/x yesterday. Overall it seems to be a very nice unit. But I save software I purchase in a folder and did'nt realize how much of it was Clie specific. Not to mention my memory sticks. I think the t/x is going to work out fine, but if I had the opportunity to purchase a newer Sony........

Does TX have such option? :D ;) :)

This CC5 certainly is another neat toy and helpful addition to the PDA while on the car. I can listen to the CLIE MP3 player through the car radio speaker via FM transmitter, of course the GPS and others as shown on the CC5 launcher screen. It talks to you too.

With ZLauncher QuickLaunchQnywhere, I can launch 20 additional apps and 15 extensions on top of the 6 apps shown on the screen, while it's on the CC5 cradle. :D
