Hi, I've searched this thread with the most relative phrases I could possibly think of, but could not find anything. Well, I don't like the fact that when I lock my Palm with it's built-in security, and then turn it back on later... while I am entering my password... IT SHOWS in PLAIN SIGHT... there are no *'s in place of my password. WHY?!?! Is there anyway to make it cover up my password or will I need a thrid-party security program? THanks in advance!!

There was an OLD hack called secret agent. it did EXACTLY what you are looking for.
Just download Secret Agent from palmgear.
I dont know if it compatible with the nx though, but it probably is.

WHY? I think the (historical) reason is that in those old days you had to enter your password in the graffiti area. And well, you can never be 100% sure what results your strokes will have. Therefore they made the password visible, so that you can see what you type. :)

Thanks for the info Badandy! Yeah, I understand that fact Michael1960... but, I dunno, I feel as if you can get it right in at least 3 tries ;-)... I just don't wanna have to literally hug my PDA when I'm entering my pass.

ldbobby, thanks for your confidence in my graffiti skills. ;)
I had the same problem of having to "hug" my NX70 when I wanted to show something to friends. It is so cool to take it out of your pocket... everybody goes "wooow... what's that?". But it is kind of uncool if you then try to hide it somewhere while you are entering your password. Destroys all the magic. :p
I surely would prefer to have the choice either to enter the password in visible or unvisible mode, but as we both know, the PalmOS just doesn't give me this choice (yet).
I think there are some applications on the market which allow you to enter an unvisible password either via graffiti or via a big numerical keyboard on your screen. But so far I haven't tried any of those.

Alright, thanks for your help. I guess I'll just have to look towards a third party solution.
