I am a new owner of a palm T|X. I installed a bunch of programs at first - uninstall manager, ljp emulator, tcpmp, filez, messageeaseST, palm PDF, and AOL from this address: (http://www.aol.co.uk/aim/palm/)
While using the palm it reset, and went into an endless reset loop at the palm logos. I hard resetted, deleted backups, and attempted to (painfully) narrow down which program was causing this reset loop by installing each program one at a time, testing it for hours, and trying to duplicate the reset loop. Each time that I didnt have aol installed, I had no problems. As soon as I put AOL on the palm - as soon as i did a normal reset (or it reset on its own), it would go into endless loop and i'd have to hard reset it.
To confirm that it was aol, i did hard reset, cleared backup, and installed AOL just by itself with no other programs. After hitting reset button, it went into endless loop at logo, so i'm pretty confident that it's AOL doing it.
The thing is, after browsing these forums, I'm seeing that some people are using AOL from the UK site. Also, while i was using AOL, i could send messages fine, but I could never see incoming messages to me.
My concern is, is it my particular T|X that is defective and has problems with certain software, if others can use AOL without problems? and if so, perhaps I should exchange mine for another one or try a different model altogether?
Does anyone use that specific AOL application on their T|X successfully without these reset loop problems?
Thank you so much in advance.
