I know that you can use it to make calls via BT w/ T3's but can you use it to listen to music such as playing through TCPMP?

No, the bluetooth is v 1.1, and v 1.2 is required for that... :(

1. How do you want to make calls with T3?
2. It's not version of Bluetooth but lack of profile : Headset profile for simple mono sound (phone calls) or A2DP profile for stereo music stream.
3. It's not hardware problem - if somebody could extend Bluetooth stack in PalmOS with new profiles it should work.

no.
in 650 bt hardware is physically connected to speaker and microphone. to pass that abndwidth through processor will kill any performace and will be a pain in the rear. it is a hardware problem becaus eimplementing it in software will cause 90% constant cpu utilization

You can always use combos like Bluetake 420/430. I'll work even with old casette player.
