Getting my recently acquired pre-owned TH55 programmed. I beamed HandStory from my old T665C to it using my same username and it went in okay but the application does not seem to work on the TH55. When I launch the application it does 'scanning' and then 'updating' and after some 30 seconds or so I get the following message:

StringMngr.c, Line:353, string too long (>64k)

You may need to restart the
handheld by performing a
soft reset. Please press the
RESET button.

I tried many times even with soft resets done but am still getting the same result.

I then deleted HandStory in the handheld, reinstalled it afresh in the PC and after a hotsync to re-install HandStory in the handheld I tried the launch again, but am getting the same message as above.
I have sent numerous e-mails to HandStory Support for help but have received no response, not even an acknowledgement.
If there is a way out of this problem I would appreciate the help pl.
Thanks very much.

HandStory was acquired by another company:

http://www.namo.com/products/handstory/

Did you email their support?

I use HandStory on my TH55 without problems. Are you using the 2.3 version like I'm using (2.3.013 to be exact)?

If you are using anything older, I would upgrade. My version supports the full TH55 screen, for example.

(But, I'm having trouble getting to Namo's website. I wonder if they are still in business.)

Ah, I got in.... looks like they are up to version 3.1 now.

By the way, I used Handstory less and less due to the continual improvement of Plucker. If you haven't tried the Sunrise/Plucker combo of (free) software, you owe yourself. Pretty much anything Handstory can do, you can do with those free tools.

That's the reason I haven't used HandStory in the last 2+ years!

Okay, its working now......no thanks to HandStory Support though.
What I did was this:
I tried a re-install of HandStory and hotsynced. The same old thing happened....Reset!!
I then removed the memory stick, a Lexar Duo Select 128 X 2, from the device and launched HandStory again. It came on fine. Of course none of the files in external memory showing now with no memory stick inside.
Thinking it could be the Lexar memory stick causing the problem I tried a SanDisk 128 regular Media memory stick that I used in my previous T665C and containing nearly identical files (copied to the Lexar side A when I started using it in the TH55). Again HandStory came on okay.
Next I removed the ScanDisk and put the Lexar back in the TH55. Encountered no problem at all and HandStory worked flawlessly and still doing so at time of this writing.
Could it be that the TH55 was having a problem seeking out the path for HandStory files to external memory, and not properly recognzing one, was trying to dump everything into internal memory and quite unsuccessful at that with the space limitation? And hence the error msg:

StringMngr.c, Line:353, string too long (>64k)

Just my layman's thinking so pl pardon me if it does not make sense.
I appreciate all help and comments. It would appear that SJ Namo Interactive Inc was the developer and still owns HandStory. They also have as sales agents PalmGear and Handango and also Element 5 who also handle sales of Kinoma Producer. None of them have any records of my purchase of this application. As such I must have only got it direct from SJ Namo. When I was moving up from a previous T615C to the T665C I recall requesting a re-download from support@handstory.com and I received immediate assistance with that. I really can't imagine what's happened to these people since then.
BTW the HandStory that I have is v2.3.012 and not v2.3.013. Or perhaps that was a typo by member olderTechnology. And I get full screen too.
Thanks to all and best regrds.
