I just reset my UX50 because it just froze up and now it wont even go past the "Palm Powered" post when it is turning on. I need help badly because I just sold this on eBay and I need to ship it out. I was just deleting all my crap off it before it was to get packaged up and this happened and now I don't know how to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thannks,

You can do soft reset & press up, until you see that logo. Then release the presses. You should be able to goto the preferences. Then assign the "powersaving button", or "hotsync" or what not on either your 3 quick buttons "web", "mail", or "to do list". Then follow it as you would normally. If it doesn't work, hard reset is the way to go. I am sure other can give you more advice.

Need more specifics...
Did you perform a hard reset? Are you restoring from backup data?

Depending on where you are, here's the sequence I usually follow:
1. Simple soft reset: reset on back of unit --> if it hangs:
2. Warm reset: press and hold PageUp (Blue followed by PageUp) and while holding press reset --> if successful, press Ctrl+H to get to the Applications then launch any app you have on your Clie (file manager to delete files, whatever); if it still hangs:
3. Hard reset: pull and hold power slider button and while holding press reset (maybe need to wait a few seconds, sg like 3 sec), when you release it asks you if you want to delete all data. Press PageUp (or maybe scroll up with the scroll wheel) if you want to delete everything --> if it still hangs:
4. Wait until the battery totally depletes itself. For me, it's usually a few hours, maybe one night. You might hear a beep when the battery dies. Then put it on the charger. Might need about half an hour charging before you can turn on the screen blacklight (Ctrl+L). The unit will be on total factory settings. (This step somehow does a harder reset than the hard reset. I guess some processes still keep running even after a hard reset while this fourth steps does away with all process. You can accelerate this if you open up your unit and pull off the batter, then put it back and you are done. If you don't want to open up your unit then just wait.)
Maybe this helped.
Cheers, k

Thanks, I ended up just wait for the battery to die overnight. All my data is lost but thats what I was looking to do anyways because I'm selling it. Thanks for all the help.
