Seems like a reaction from Microsoft at the ALP os announcement.
If smartphones running WM can be as lowly price, then those running ALP can also.

Not a bad thing as we can buy a PDA + a smartphone (which will replace traditional cell phones) an have the convenience of both a large screen (PDA) and single device (Smartphone)

2 devices are 2 bulky to carry in the pocket, but not in a briefcase.
If data could be synchronised between PDA & Smartphone (without need for a PC) that would be great.
