I got my TH55, and I love it! The only thing I got some crappy earbuds with it to listen to my mp3s, being a music lover, I want to get something better. Anyone out ther have any suggestions?

I personally use Koss KTXPRO1 titanium series. They are great, play loud and don't cost much. When used with standard CD players they generally have too much bass, but since our pdas are typically poor on the "woofer" range, then it is a perfect match! They even play reasonably well with a Tungsten T2, and I can assure those T2s deliver no bass frequencies at all!

By the way... welcome to 1st source forum!

They look nice, but how are they on bass? Most of the stuff I listen to tends to have a lot of deep bass. I'm also looking for something in a wrap around design so I can wear a hat :D , and it definetly has to have a volume control

They would be perfect expect for the hat part ;)
See my previous post, it has been edited in regards to bass response.

When you say "Best headphones," of course you open a Pandora's box. I won't go into the "how much are you willing to spend" line of reasoning, because everything is, after all, relative. Aside from the suggestions you are sure to get on doubtless great earphones in the hundreds of dollars range, I and others here at 1src have been quite happy with Sony's MDR-EX71 earbuds at $50, maybe less on eBay! They sound pretty doggone good! :)
BTW, my son's getting married to a young lady from Winston-Salem. He's a senior at App State!
P.S. Just did a quick eBay search. Dang! $26 + S&H! I'm tempted to get a pair of white ones (I have black).

i found that i can wear my hats (many, MANY hats) underneath my headphones without any problems (good quality and junkyard quality headphones). when i'm on the road, i use an old pair of Sony MDR-V250's. they've got pretty good bass response, and even better treble. however, if you want heavy bass, you should probably fork up more money because those headphones are from the 1990's and are dirt cheap on Amazon these days.
Sennheiser makes excellent headphones, but can be quite pricey for the right pair.
one thing i should note that the TH55's Audioplayer doesn't really have powerful bass, so even with great stereophones, you won't get much bass response. so even a decent pair of headphones will sound pretty similar to really high end headphones.

Maybe it was "Street Style" that I'm looking for. Actually, I'm using aeroplayer for my music, not the useless musicplayer that came with the TH55.

I use Sony's MDR-EX71 earbuds and do believe that they are worth the bucks (even moreso w/eBay). The TH55 Clie Audioplayer has the Bass button to add 3 levels of bass. These earbuds sound very good on the TH55 and great with bass. Even better than they do on my iPod or Creative Zen Micro. Just a fantastic sound stage!

Aeroplayer+decent headphones can actually be quite the good duo. obviously not the best, but it's decent enough that i stuck with that for a month or so after my MD player died a few months back. the only problem i found was that my 256MB memory stick wasn't quite enough space for my music. so i had to downgrade the music quality (my quality standards at least) to 160 VBR MP3 files. i'm a FLAC junkie, hence my "downgrading".

Sony MDR-G52's here. . .I'm usually listening to music while mowing the yard or exercising or while surfing the web at McDonald's or those types of environments.
They are the street style that wraps around the back of your head, but they hurt my ears a little if I wear them for more than about 45 minutes.

Sound quality doesn't compare to the MDR-EX71 earbuds . . . not even close, and you forget you're wearing them. It feels like the sound is being generated in your head! :)

I've been using Sony MDR-EX71 buds for some time & am happy with them as street phones. However, recently I was shopping for a pair for indoor use (when I don't care if I look like a geek); I listened to a lot of can-style headphones (including Sennheiser) at us$100-us$175 and decided on a pair of Sony MDR-v700 us$80. They were originally recommended by a DJ friend, and I find them sufficiently bassy & very crisp. The TH55 drives them nicely & I can wear them for hours. They fold up pretty nicely & sony gives you a weird iridescent bag to put them in as well as a 1/4" adapter.
