I need some help making a decision. I've got a Zire72 with built-in bluetooth, it also came with the WiFi card. I want to set it up with my desktop computer, but not sure which way to go. Should I buy a wifi router, or a USB bluetooth adapter for my PC? Can anyone explain the benefits, drawbacks of each? All I know is that wifi would be faster, and bluetooth more convenient as I wouldn't need to take out my SD card and put in the wifi card. Is bluetooth access very slow in comparison to wifi for web browsing on the Zire72?

Bluetooth is short range, low power, and fairly slow (think 56kbps modem).
It is good if you have a lot of low speed data transfers you want to do, and want to be able to communicate with phones, PDAs etc. as well as computers.
WiFi is medium range, high power, and much zippier (think 10-base-t ethernet connection). It is great for doing quick file transfers, running VNC or other remote viewing apps, and pretty much anything else that requires quick response and large data bursts. It is really only good for connecting your Palm to a local intranet or to the internet.

If you're going to use it for browsing the Web, you won't notice it (the Blazer browser itself is slower than BT) but if you're going to stream audio, files, etc. you're surely going to notice BT's low speed.

In my tests, BT starts to lag behind when I try to listen to a 56kbps MP3 radio stream with PocketTunes.
