Hi
I have asked in another forum and recieved a helpful response but I am checking around before I go further
my trusty nx73 died & I am now the owner of a TH55
I loaded all the desktop software and now have "palm desktop for clie" & "Sony Organiser" as icons
All my data is on the desktop but when I go to Sync the response is
"If you still want to perform a hotsync operations between this
handheld and the pc you must rename the existing (my name) on the palm
desktop by selecting the Tools User dialogue"
The response to my question on the other forum was - first- backup everything & then that I had to delete my user name in the Palm desktop.
The reason being that the calender etc software seems to have kept my user name AND the serial number of my nx73 and there is a conflict.
Surely if I delete my user name on the Palm Desktop I will lose all my data (albeit I have the back-up which presumably still links to the NX73)
I feel I need to keep my name as all of my software has that user name.
Would appreciate further comments, suggestions
Thanks Billy B
