Okay, so what is the word about using Navman SmartST Professional mapping software (same they package for Palm OS5 with 4460 kit) with the US-spec cc5 car cradle? I've read a few things here and there, but nothing conclusive or recent about this.

I got this link from the Sony Support UK site for the cc5:

http://www.navman.com/assets/personal/SSP_PALMQuickStartGuide(US_english).pdf

Notice that this is the quick start guide for the US and not only does it reference the Sony Clie cc5 setup, but also shows a map of the US on the top of page 3. . .

SO--if this mapping software interacts with the Car Cradle software, then maybe we have hope of a more updated map than we currently have with the StreetFinder C3.

Thoughts?

I'll let you be the Guinea Pig. If it works in yours, then I'll be the second Guinea Pig. The StreetFindr C3 is old. I was on WestPark toll road in Houston Metro the other day and I was riding on un-charted territories according to the StreetFindr C3. LOL

One thing that I am not sure about is how to get the SmartStreet icon to appear on the CC5 launcher screen. Would it show up in the Car Setting display order as one of the 6 available app button selection?

How can I try it? There is no such software exist on their site to download from.
