With so many people getting the Clie Wireless Lan Card isn't it about time for Cliesource to start an handheld optimized Cliesource Website?
Why don't we start a poll.
Due to the run on the cards in the last two days, its a 'must have'.
Oh, and don't forget that the only way (currently) to get the ClieSource home page lo load is to severely tweak our browsers!

I agree! Make a cliesource mobile site!
I don't know how you Netfront users are able to post. I still can't get past the page too large errors.

I have been able to login and post with Netfront. I did it today in physics class. It is sort of slow in Netfront of course, but it still works. It would be nice to have an optimized version of Cliesource. This has been discussed a lot, and I think the basic conclusion is that it would take a lot of work to get the whole site mobile. I hope it does happen eventually though. Especially with so many new Sony units having Bluetooth and WiFi.
(On a side note, I hope we see a unit with built in Bluetooth AND WiFi soon :-D )

I would really love a mobile site. I could use my new WiFi card at home...and maybe when out. Or I could save the forums that I'm interested in with iSilo and read during the day while I'm at work or just out.
Did I say I would LOVE it?

A simple way would be just parsing the pages that cliesource currently, this could be done using php3 and wget. But it's not a very nice way and of course wastes tons of bandwidth if done on a seperate server. Does Cliesource use SQL? prbably yes. And which board scripts? Not phpbb I guess. Does the used scriptset have capabilites for free design modifications?
Questions over questions... can the administrators provide some answers?

I considered writing my own filter in perl. What stopped me is that I have no control over the layout of their site and it could change at anytime making my solution obsolete. I think it will have to be the Cliesource staff that would potentially put a mobile site together.
Also it would be nice if one could read/post to a mobile Cliesource site. This is not the case with Clieplanet.

I believe SPUG is set up so you can post to it. Here is one of their mobile forums:
