Hi,
I am the pround owner of a new TX...upgrading from an nx80V.

I am having several problems using the Bluetooth Hot sync. I followed most of the instructions on http://www.whizoo.com/bt_setup/index.php#hotsync.

I'm using an IBM Thinkpad T43 for PC.

The thing is it has been paired and connects also when I initiate Hot sync, but the it almost invariably gives me "The connection between your device and the desktop was lost. Some of your data was NOT backed up. Please check your setup and try again."

Thus far, in the thirty odd times I've tried to BT hot sync, it did go all the way once without any errors, but everytime else, it's given this message. I read some where that a few conduits can cause problems. Has anybody else had this problem, and if so, what'd you do?

One of the big attractions for me getting the TX was BT syncing and Wifi.

Thanks!!!

Does it work when you hotsync over USB? My BT hotsync works fine, bot network and serial port.

It works fine over USB.....

Any ideas....I tried disabling what I thought were problem conduits, but the problem persists.

javis pedro,

How do you do a BT sync over network?

When I tried to create a new BT serial port on my laptop. It asked me which device and when I told it, Palm handheld....it searched for a while, found my TX, connected, but then told me that my Pam OS device did not support BT serial port.
And also, my Hotsync does not have a local serial on it to check. Its only got local, Local USB, Modem network and Infrared. Infrared sync works fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Well....this is just an update in case it helps someone....

Solved the problem........I had to uninstill the IBM bluetooth IV drivers and install the Microsoft Win XP Bluetooth drivers.

All conduits working like a charm!!

Thanks again for trying,
