3G, triband GSM, 2.6" touchscreen and stylus, USB 2.0, Bluetooth (for streaming stereo audio), AAC/MP3 support, 30fps video, jogdial, thumboard, 80MB... "Opera 8 for web browsing, RSS feed support, PC synchronization, an Adobe Acrobat viewer and VPN software.

Additionally, Sony Ericsson said it is working with a range of partners to enable support for a range of 3rd party groupware solutions, including AlteXia; iAnywhere OneBridge; Intellisync; Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync; RIM BlackBerry Connect; Seven; and Visto." (Infosync (http://www.infosyncworld.com/news/n/6471.html))

Technically, the Sony Ericsson M600i can be called a CLIE: Communication, Link, Information and Entertainment.

It kind of looks like a TG50... ;)

@Joel, the big unknown is the quality of PIM s/w and the potential for third-party support. Hopefully Iambic will port their UIQ version of Agendus to UIQ3.

Wow, Long lives the toothpick!

Sure has good looks, but does it have a memory card slot? I don't seem to see it in the specs posted above.

Also, it's not PalmOS, I'd like to see it's ease of use compared to my Clie :)

It should have a Memory Stick Duo slot. As for the OS, It's Symbian UIQ3, so it's actually right about on par.

@intellidryad, the M600 uses a new mini MS format. Having used UIQ2.1 and PalmOS I would say the UIQ designers must have liked PalmOS as it does have some of the simplicity (but it is a real multi tasking OS) and in my view Symbian is more stable for Smartphone than PalmOS (remember: my view!).

its still no clie, clie was about elegance and ericsson is about boxy elements

@SonyStyle, when Sony Ericsson was formed the thinking was that Sony would provide the style and Ercisson the technology. SE is part owned by Sony. Also remember, the target market is the business user, therefore function is probably more important than form.

i'm gonna have more room in my pocket. not so much because the math (TG50 + T637 = M600) makes for one less device, but because you know this is gonna cost a pretty penny. a bunch of them.

oh, that and i've gotta change my tag here ~> ehm ssiks oh oh

Great

Here comes the M2 (memorystick micro), yet another new format, this time, small enough to swallow, or choke you...

Other then the annoying M2 stick, this thing is looking better as the specs become clear. It lacks a camera, but I don't need it. After playing with someone else's DSLR, I seldom use the camera on my TH55. The photos just don't compare in quality. The screen shots look much better then a P900 (whose GUI I found strange).

I'd definantly go and have a look of it in the stores when it comes out. Also, I'd be curious how the rumered ultra-slim Treo (hollywood) would stand against this baby in terms of design :)

If it were smaller, used MS, had a camera, and worked for Sprint, I would buy it :D
