No, No, No Clamshell! I will be stuck with a 320X320 screen forever because I can not stand clamshells and built in keyboards! UGH!

I think you've put way too much thought into that ;-)
I'm not saying I wouldn't buy one though. So long as its clamshell.

I did not like it either, but found that the NX was the best offering at the time of my upgrading from my 615 and now I absolutely love the design. I hated it before I tried it.

yea, if you made it a clamshell, then it would be great.

PXA255 1Ghz

640x480 OLED screen since a TFT screen is thicker, displays less colors, isn't as bright, lacks the same viewing range and uses more power.

the graphics power of a PS2 or GC.

LCD on the backside of the Clamshell showing battery power, date, time, and alarm events.

I would rather have a supported CF slot then MSPro for the new 4GB microdrives and whatever CF storage is available.

More RAM, 64 is for last years PPC, give me 256.

Fuel Cell for instant recharge time.

NO MORE SUPPORT FOR ATTRAC!!!

What is this PXA256? I did a search, and the only results were related to ASUS. Then when clicking on the links it would specify PXA256 at the top, but PXA250 as the actual CPU. Intel's latest XScale is a PXA255.

Proc and memory are overkill. I say this cuz it would drain the battery too fast. Otherwise I like it.

I'm alwasy for more power and memory. Anything less is for data entry. I want a handheld multimedia machine that can run Flash 6 or Director presentations at full speed.

Unless you connect it to some sort of external display, multimedia presentations are wasted on a palm device. Waste of valuable size and battery life in my opinion. Get a laptop.

This is what the CF slot is used for. I have two TIBooks with 1Gig of RAM each. You get a notebook.

?????? What is the CF slot used for?

JackAxe

Video out adapters, they have them for the PPC. Ideally a faster CF slot would be required to handle the faster graphic chipset.

And on the power thing, a fuel cell would last weeks and require no recharge time.

I use my current Clie' as a portable portfolio since it's with me all the time. The 320x480 screen is what sold me. This is why I'm into the overkill on CPU and memory. It would be nice to be able to show some of my interactive work on the spot when I meet new people.

This poll demonstrates perfectly why Sony has several body styles of Clie. :D there is no "one" perfect solution for style. For function, most of us could probably agree on a good 90% or more for a clie... but body style and physical dimensions/physical charactarists/physical options, we'll split. I am actually surprised it is near 50/50. :) That means you designed a pretty good clie there! :D

Clamshell looks cool but portability, err, rather reserve comments to myself. But a 320x480 without keyboard?PHWOAR!I'll buy it even if it does't have WiFi!A dream Clie machine! :D
