View Full Version : Notepad Not Being Synced?

I just noticed that my Palm Desktop 4.14e doesn't have a conduit for Notepad. What's going on here? I thought that was supposed to be there? It was there when I used 4.14e with my Zire 31.

I've tried to delete my Palm Desktop completely then reinstall it, but to no avail. And yes, I deleted the directory and all that jazz. What gives?

Ver. 4.14e does not work well with the T3. I had problems, not just with Notepad, but also with Photos. I would suggest using the Desktop version that came with the T3, or downloading ver. 4.14 (without the 'e') from the Palm support pages.

OK, I'll try that! Should I uninstall 4.14e AND delete the folder before installing 4.14?

If you still have your PIM (and other) data on your Palm, then I think just uninstalling 4.14e and then installing 4.14 would be enough. When syncing with 4.14 for the first time, it will be good to check if the PIM conduits are set to "handheld overwrites desktop".

Of course, it would be safer to also delete the folders, but then you'll have to set aside your data first, etc., so that you could recover them after the reinstall.

Alright, I uninstalled 4.14e then installed 4.14 from the site. The Note Pad and Voice Memo programs show up in Palm Desktop now, however, when I go into either, it crashes. So then, I tried to delete that version and go all the way back to the original version that came with the T3, version 4.12.

Guess what? Same deal. Crashes when I go into Note Pad and Voice Memo.

Going into my Note Pad on the T3 now shows two corrupted Note Pad records. I successfully got rid of one, but the other one won't open and thus, I can't delete it. My Voice Memo files are on my SD card, so it looks good.

Any one know how to get rid of that corrupted Note Pad record?

OK, go figure, it started working all of a sudden. WHAT is going on?!?! haaha I set HotSync Note Pad and Voice Memo conduits to "Handheld Overwrites Desktop", synced yet again, and poof, now it works. haahha
