Aloha Everyone!

I'm a new member to this forum and I just picked up an NX-60 a few days ago. I previously had a handspring visor for which I still have about 10 screen protectors left. It was about the right size, so I put it on the clie. Thing is,...it makes the screen wavy,...kind of like...you know when your local TV reporter does an interview in someones office, and it happens to catch the CRT computer monitor and it has all that up&down wavy stuff? Thats what it does.

My question is: Does the WriteRight made specifically for the NX eliminate that? I wouldn't want to dump $30.00 into a packet of these things only to have it do the same thing as my visor protectors did.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE,
Brandon.

I don't see this problem with the WriteRights I use.

Cheers, Rich

Is the Visor you had a color model? I had accidently bought some WriteRights for an m130(color) I had, but I bought the ones made for the monochrome models thinking they would still fit. But the monochome screen protectors had a texture to them and when put on a color screen, it make it look terrible.

So I guess I am asking, are the screen protectors smooth, or do that have a slight texture?

cbulock: Yeah, my old visor protectors were for the monochrome display and it has a slightly bumpy texture. Oh,....are the color screen protectors smooth (ie no distortion?) That would explain it. I guess I gotta head to the store to get the right ones!!! Thanks dude!

I had WriteRights but I switched to Brando and love'em. Nice hard surface, not sticky and gummy like the WriteRights and they last a long time. They are definately a bit of a PAIN to get on but once you do it's heaven.

Stog, yea, the ones for color screens are smooth, so looks like you might need some different ones :(

Hi Stog75,

I've got the same problem with the first screen protector I've got (forgot the brand). I initially thought it was my LCD screen!!! Changed to a Brando 2 days later and everything's sweet.

sstrasser- Took me literally 30 seconds to put the brando on. NO bubbles, it is just not sticky enough in the top right corner where you pull to tab to get the back layer off.

I've never been a fan of screen protectors but am now re-evaluating. With these next generation screen protectors. do you guys notice:
- any color degradation? specifically the whites.
- any addition of friction to the writing surface?

thanks.
