Anybody know where to go to buy a new battery that fits the Zodiac? Is there one that fits other devices that would work in it, perhaps?

If you haven't already, check out www.tapland.com

Thst site is dedicated to the Zodiac. They ususally can answer any questions you may have.

I think there is a link on their home page which goes to a technical service which repairs them. Since the battery for this device was not intended to be user reaplaceble, that may be your best bet.

They are selling them on ebay now. Just do a search for Zodiac Li-ions. The ebay seller is associated with Olympic Systems so its safe to buy from them. I ended up ordering one yesterday as my Zod battery is getting a bit wonky and there is no way I'm buying some crappy TX to replace it.

Ouch!

Why is the TX crappy? I was thinking it had some nice specs for the price.

Yeah, its okay. I'm being overly critical. I think its very mediocre compared to the Zod though not to mention the screen whine you have to pay money to get rid of.

Replaced my battery this weekend and its very easy to do. You just need a torx 5 screwdriver to remove the 4 screws in the back.
