CLIE Viewer 1.1 update available

hey the clie viewer is available at http://www.css.ap.sony.com/

I put it in my US version nx and worked without trouble... worth to take a look at... a lot faster than the original...

actually, nevermind, I found it. BTW you are right. it is considerably faster!!!! YEAH !!! I have loathed the clie viewer, but now, its not too bad! it even stores a limited amount of thumbnails in memory so they are right there when you go back! I have been waiting for this upgrade! for those who would like directions, when you load the above link, click on the "handheld clies" button. select clie NX series, nx70v/G or H for model, and "clie viewer software update" for software. accept, yada yada... install and viola!

w00t, it works, to bad it still doesn't store thumbnails....
only big difference is that it indexes all fotos and creates the empty frames before loading the pics themselves. This solves the annoying shifting from the previous version.
It also loads the pictures on you screen rather then top to bottom of the list. (so if you scroll down at start, it will load the bottom pics first,then top->down.)
Still doesn't beat AcidImage or Splashphoto though. But much better when needed to select an image to attach to mail etc.

btw, it grabs another 300K

The update says it is for the PEG-NX70V/G, PEG-NX70V/H. I have a PEG-NX70V/U. Is that a problem?

I have the PEG-NX60... will this work? Hmm...

I had issues where the device froze up when attempting to install it on the NX/U device. I don't think it was meant for the US models. Be careful.

I have a NX70V/E in French. Do I risk jamming everything trying to install it or does it seem safe ?

I have a NX-70V/U works like a charm. I don't think it'll be of any risk for NX owners (any model)
