I haven't heard anything about LG Palm OS smartphones. I don't think there will ever be any... :(

Just because LG doesn't come out with something doesn't mean they will never. Why spend money on a Palm OS license and never use it. That is not a profitable move in business terms.

Oh, good point. I guess they will, eventually...

I have a feeling we will see something this year or the next.

Anyone agree or disagree or are neutral about my position? I'd love to see someone's point of view on this.

I've had my eye on a Qool QDA-700 for a while, because the Treo is so "common" ;) An LG would be different too though...

The reason I think this is due to the only devices LG has tested are slider and clamshell aside from the flip phones they have. They could make a Qool-type phone but it would not be able to compete with the Treo. If LG wants to be profitable, they will have to find a form-factor that works. I think the first Palm OS device LG releases will in fact be a clamshell or Slider device. I am almost 100% sure for going with a totally different form-factor at the last minute would not be smart.

Maybe we should write LG a petition asking them to please hurry up and release a palm os device even if it is running garnet.

LOL, I wonder what they would respond with... ;)

LG VX9800 would have been very interesting if it was running Palm OS. Completely different from the Treo in a small package.

I actually called them and they told me they had nothing in planning. They might be waiting for ALP, they might not. Not sure and I really don't care much anymore due to the fact that I've already decided to get a TX. An LG model would probably come out next year the latest.

Umm, it isn't like they are going to tell a caller about any new, unannounced devices, JA. Besides, what would the support people know about it anyway? ;)
