hi there

i'll be visiting a few concerts in the near future. as i can get in with press tickets i'll try to record some songs with my clie nx (video)and export it as mov. or just record the sound with voicerecorder. anyone tried it before? any suggestions? as the concerts are always very loud, is the sound any good? should some changes be done? i know the quality will be quite poor (specially the video) but it's just for fun.

as i got a empty 128mb card i could easily record a few songs.

maybe someone already had the pleasure, otherwise i'll test it in a few weeks.

cheers

For as loud as a concert is, you can leave it in your pocket while you record. My brother used his at a Uriah Heap concernt once. It worked, but as you suspect, the audio wasn't great,

I was just at a Guster concert and recorded them playing a few songs. The Audio came out , but plenty fuzzy, especially with several thousand screaming fans. You really need a direct feed from the soudn board or mics in order to get good sound...maybe there is a way....will the headphone jack double as a line in? Could it be adapted? Then just plug it into a monitor jack on the back of the sound mixing board....with a press pass it shouldn't be a problem..say you are using the recording for proffesional uses only to evaluate and or review the concert.
