Read the post at the bottom of the page in THIS (http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2609) thread (last post on page-1).
Don't worry about the services. I don't think the Clie allows services to be discoverd. I know it supports Serial, Network and Dial-Up because I have used them. It easier just to leave everything on the computer at default and set it up from the Clie.

i read that post and every other one (and have tried almost every possible setup over the past 10 days) that deals with BT internet browsing... simply put, it will not work with my clie (regardless of settings on my clie' or pc) and my usb bt adapter... i tried it via a bt ethernet adapter (standalone wireless access point) and it worked flawlessly with just an automatic configuration... but that solution does not allow me to use bt to sync my nokia to my pc... so, i am going to try a different brand of usb adapter... mine is currently an iogear, the tech support people at iogear were stumped when i talked to them about why it won't work for internet but it works for hotsync... they feel that it is a "driver" issue... hrrrrmpfff

I too have an IOGear BT dongle. It works. I have also used D-Link and MSI, and they all worked the same way. If you can't get the IOGear to work, it's unlikely any others will work.
Tell me more about your set up and I'll see if I can help (computer type, Windows version, Clie model, etc.).

Well I have followed every thread, walk-through, step-by-step... I can connect, and my CLIE says that is is connected, however when I pull up my browser and try to access a page it thinks for about a minute and I get the following error... 'socket busy'
Has anyone else gotten to this point and seen this error? What socket is it talking about?...
I am using an XP machine and a Belkin BT USB Dongle... I have set all my IP Addresses manually (if I don't I can't get it to connect at all...

CYber_Stingray,
Could you tell me how you set up the IP manually?
What IP do i need? And where to look for it in my PC?
And I also see many thread mentioned about DNS setting, gateway....blablabla...no idea at all.
But when my PC is connected to internet, the network connection will show the following data: (not sure it's the right information for setting in Clie)
Device Name: WAN Miniport (PPPOE)
Device Type: PPPoE
Server Type: PPP
Transports: TCP/IP
Authentication: PAP
Compression: (none)
PPP multilink framing: Off
Server IP address: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Client IP address: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

Kusumo...
Well in the network settings for the 'accept incomming calls' you define the iprange you want to use... and on you palm devie you put in a static address within the range you set on your host device... Hope that answers you question...

geekgod:
i am running xp pro...
i have an sj30 with a BT ms...
i am using the iogear bt dongle...
i have a netgear wireless ethernet router...
i have tried several different i.p. addresses for my router 198.162.0.1, 198.162.1.1 and 198.162.0.1....
with dhcp on and all my settings on query... my clie will connect via BT sign on and get on the network... i can tell because when i run ipconfig i can see it... however, with dhcp on it gets some nutso 169.254.4.0 i.p., which is not even within the range that the router is set to assign ip addresses (something like that, i'm not at home so i can't check) but no gateway i.p... and it ppp timesout for the internet
with dhcp off and my router set to 192.168.0.1, and my pc set to 192.168.0.2 and the clie' set to 192.168.0.3 and the gateway set it will also connect... but again ppp timesout for the internet
in network settings i have only my LAN adapter (which is shared)and the BT network adapter...
as a side note, i tried the dhcp setup with a borrowed BT wireless access point just plugged into my router and it worked flawlessly...
i figure that i have got to be close and that it has just got to be some setting that i have gotten wrong... but i have read all of the posts and been trying to no avail for 2 weeks...
