Just noticed that nobody seems to notice!
There's a Great ZX emulator out there, which works great on OS5, but has support for 3.5 (Greyscale, B/W, Color, 160x160, 320x320, Handera 320x240) as well. Loading a game is a bit complicated (not much), but what the heck ... it's freeware after all!

Here's for your playing pleasure:

It's nice. There are quite a few emulators in the works these days. We should have a few more coming in the next couple months.

WooHoo,
JetSetWilly on my palm, excellent.

Just a quick note in case anyone struggled to get anything working like I did, nothing to do with the emulator, just my complete lack of knowledge of spectrums.  This is just how I did it, there may be a much easier way, if so please share!

first get hold of ZX-Pilot (link above).  Its also worth downloading ZX-Launcher from here (http://www.ciam.ru/~antares19/workshop/zxpilot/index.mhtml):
Now you need an emulator for your pc to convert tapes to snapshots.  I used R80 (ftp://ftp.worldofspectrum.org/pub/sinclair/emulators/pc/dos/r80v030.zip)
Then go to WorldofSpectrum (http://www.worldofspectrum.org/) (WOS) and download some games from the archive.

Extract R80 and go to a command prompt, change to the directory where you extracted R80 and type: r80 -48 -rom48k 48.rom -video 0
You will see the grey sinclair screen.  Press F5 to load a tape (or F3 if you downloaded a z80 snapshot).  Find the tape you downloaded and extracted from WOS and load it.  You will be back at the grey screen.  Press J and then right control and p twice (it will type two quote on the screen) then enter.  It will now load the game.  Once loaded hit F4 to save a snapshot, give it a name and repeat for the other games you downloaded.

now you need to convert the snapshot using the batch file that came with zx-pilot and copy the resulting file to a directory called zx on the root of your memory stick.  You can now use ZX-Launcher to launch the snapshot off the memory stick and carry all your sinclair games around with you.
