Check out PalmVNC, you can find it at Palmgear.com. It works over the WiFi. You see small sections of your desktop's screen on the Clie screen. Works great with the Hires+ on the NX. If you know how you set it up, you can control your computer from anywhere in the world, so long as you have an internet connection on your Clie. I tried it out, and while the speed was a little slow it was VERY COOL. I was using trillian from my NX. I could even type text with the keyboard. I was sitting on my bed, watching my monitor while I did stuff with my Clie. Freaky!

Can it work over a cable?(hot sync cable) for testing?

I honestly do not know. It would have to be a capability built into the app, because establishing an actual network connection through the usb hotsync cradle has been very difficult. I don't believe anyone has actualy done it yet. If someone has, please speak up :D

Hmm, you'd have to figure out what the IP of your clie was. I'm not sure if whatismyip.com would work. I know it won't if you're using a router (hence wifi) unless you could figure out which ip the router assigns it.

Palm VNC works great for controlling a PC from your palm but it only has client side extensions so it can't be used to control the Clie from a PC. Maybe the next release will support server side.
You can check out http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/ for news on the development of the VNC platform.

Win-Hand is also a Palm-Remote dekstop program. I haven't tried it out personally, but I've talked with a few guys who say it's the best.
