Update to VZ 1.04 or not?

I just got a Treo 650 from Verizon. I was wonering if I should update it to the latest update 1.04.

I wouldn't be able to use it for more than a day without upgrading it. I would vote a definately yes.

Before you start setting up things, go for the upgrade.

Most of my apps are on an SD card. I had a Clie before and switched to WM. When I got the Treo I beamed my old Palm apps to it and moved them to the SD. I was wondering mostly if the upgrade really bought me anything significant.

I saw a change in the free space, it compresses things better.

Also, before you do the upgrade, I would recommend a hard reset and creating a temp user just for upgrading purposes. Then after your done, you can do a full restore from your card, or from hotsync.

I think the temp user setup was outlined in the Palm documentation. I never thought of that before.

If you don't have anything installed, then creating a temp user would be a waist of time. But if your like me, with your device jam packed full of stuff, you won't have a choice but to do a hard reset. It's just safer to create a temp account. You can delete it afterwards anyway.
