T[E2]/motorola v710 for telus?

im considering buying a V710 from telus to provide internet acess for my T/E2, I did a search of the forums and got a lot of hits but all refer to verizon wireless.
Has anyone had sucess with this combination through telus?
i dont want to buy the thing and find out it doesnt work like i want it to, I already had that problem today with animal crossing (stupid friend codes)

i used to use gsm/fido, tinkered with it once or twice but it was never worth it. sorry, didn't see your post earlier.

thank you very much for the reply rei, unfortuneately my cellphone provider choices are limited to either bell or tellus as i live in the middle of bloody nowhere. Nonetheless thank you for the info as i will get out of here one day, and then ... the world will be mine! Buhahwahahaha.
