I just purchased a WL100.
I thought I would never purchase one but with the costing 66.95 with a 50.00 rebate
I thought ,"Ah what the heck".
Now I am green at this stuff so I sit here trying to figure out what to so next.
I was wondering is someone could step me though what I need to do before I trash
everything on my NX70V?
I think I read that there was a new driver for this card, am I mistaken?
Would someone or anyone like to help someone who is GREEN learn in layman's
terms what to do who to do and where to do.
Thank you for reading /sharing your knowledge with me, and enjoy your day.

http://sony.com/support/ , click Computing Support, Clie, NX-70V, Updated Software & Drivers, grab everything.

Oh, and just after Clie, you can diverge briefly and grab the Mobile Connection Manager, which makes it easier for you to create connection profiles for the WiFi card.

Wireless HotSync tute:

1. right-click HSM icon, check Network (if you use a Mac, stop reading, sadly)
2. in HotSync on handheld, Menu->LanSync, choose LanSync
3. click Modem, click first field beneath HotSync button, choose Wireless LAN profile; click Details, choose the correct profile
4. back in HotSync, Menu->Primary PC, enter "!!" as PC Name and your PC's IP as the PC Address
5. try a HotSync

There are a miilion threads on this particular topic you can peruse if you wnat to.

Second, you need to supply more info for us to help you.

It sure helps if you can get up to steam somewhat in terms and networking basics so we can communicate.

Examples:

OS and PC type

How do you connect to the net and who your ISP is.

What kind of wireless LAN do you want to use.

I hope this helps some and you can follow aardvarko suggestions too.

Ok I did not think the home OS was needed but I am using Windows XP Home.
I have not done anything as of yet and wanted a step by step process before I install
anything.
I have experienced major problems and setbacks then trying to venture into a major
change on my Clie.
Yes this would be major change.
I down loaded the W100 file on the Sony support page.
Now do I still install the software with the card and then this or does what I
downloaded replace the original software in the package?
See as I said layman's terms for a very GREEN user.
Thank you.
