Cannot seem to find a similar issue with anyone else's LD through search so here goes. My LD operates fine until I attempt to turn it off. When I do shut it off, yellow light blinks solid, I can hear HD activity (by putting the unit to my ear) then HD seems to shutoff after amber light blinks twice. After two seconds, cycle repeats itself.

Screen is blank and stays blank but obviously HD is in some kind of access or power loop. Also takes more then one flick of the power switch to get the unit to fully power up with screen visible.

HD activity cycle stops when screen is on and LD works fine until I try to power it down again. I've done multiple soft resets, to no avail, and unit enters this cycle whether I attempt to manually shut it off or when unit attempts to poweroff on it's own.

Any ideas on a fix??

Thanks

If you've installed the V.2 update, Try the hard reset but use the 'delete program memory only'. this should remove any rogue app causing the problem, but make sure you copy main data to SD card.

Backup Man saves the day again.....I did a hard reset, memory only, after turning off bluetooth and voila!! After the LD reset itself, no more HD power loop. I then restored a backup from a date previous to when I started having the HD loop issues and all programs and data restored.

Definitely something to say for regular and routine backups.....
