to install mp3's use hotsync... to copy other files, i went to fry's and put my pro in a sony laptop... copyed that way...
i use launcher x, so i moved the file back to ram, then took out the stick, then put in the pro stick, and moved the file to the pro stick...
the newer sony readers can do the pro, may need the patch on the sony site... sandisk makes a new reader that works with the pro, but only one... have not seen it in the stores... go to the sandisk site, you will see the one that specifically works with the pro... the sony site lists the sony readers that work with the pro....
otherwise, got to wait..
p.s. hotsync of mp3's is really slooooooow....

If MS Import works then yes, just copy the files only to your hard drive. Leave the files for now on both the old stick and hard drive. Copy to the MS Pro if you can, some users can't.

Hi Greg,
Yeah, your right, I thought the one fellow did, but he didn't. I searched until found his posts. It's a piece of cake here with all the MS readers and VAIO PC's I have to copy the MS.
It still wouldn't hurt for the other user to backup the old MS to the hard drive :)!

Larry, do you have a ms pro? and if so, did you have to apply the reader update to get your existing readers to read it?
p.s. the singapore site has an update for the audio player to make the atrac3 track names show up ...

Greg,
No I don't, but I have the PC updates for my VAIO desktop and laptop. Sony says when the MS Pro driver is used, don't expect any performance increase. I only mention so others don't get their expectations too high. Until users like yourself get drivers, it will be hard to do true performance testing.

I agree, and again, my opinion no further speed increase, in fact it could slow down, by having an added patch (that they should have had in the code in the first place <grin> )
I've been looking on the singapore site, they have 5 printer drivers there, as opposed to the 4 here on the us site, and also have the atrac3 update there...
No joy yet for the pro update... and we know the japanese update does not work on english nz's
