Hey new-comers, now that you've got a VZ-90, the next thing to do is get a VR100K. Recordings look fantastic via the VZ-90. The VZ-90 brings out more colour and the appearance of an overall better quality recording. Get one soon. You can do it. Go on...

I use $45 TV Tuner + Virtual Dub (free) + FFMPEG (free) = $45 :)
Family Guy, Boondocks, you name it :)

Not mine but there are TV Tuners for Mac. Do some research.

JAmerican, I've been down the PC-based method with software conversion utilites etc and they don't come close to the ease-of-use of the VR100K. Hey, but it is certainly a more cost-effective alternative...

i would buy the VR100K, if it would support PAL, not only NTSC

My TV Tuner supports PAL/NTSC/SECUM :)
I would like a VR100K if I used my MS for videos only. Since I use it for everything, I have to make sure my videos are compressed as much as possible while still enjoyable.
The method I use makes it easy for me. Record/Edit/Convert/Copy. (RECC) :)
But I have a powerful PC. VirtualDub is a memory hog when converting. 2GB of RAM and Dual Processing @ 1.8Ghz each. My system still slows down with it running.
