Intellisync ... Outlook to Clie?

Hi There ...

I really, really, really want to hotsync my Outlook email to my Clie but the version of Intellisync I got doesn't allow this unless I pay US$50!

Yes, everything else syncs, but not email!!!! ARGHHHHH!

Anyone know any other way I can do this please.

Pocketmirror in concert with Palm's Hot Sync syncs Outlook (including mail) with the Clie.

I prefer Pocketmirror. I tried Intellisync when I first got my Clie over a year ago, but changed back to Pocketmirror after about a month.

Might have been my unfamiliarity with Intellisync, but sometimes my data seemed to do weird things, like duplicating (or sometimes deleting) records for some unknown reason.

Pocket Mirror is far and away better than Intellistink. Easier to use, and just a better program.

I have been able to use the version of Intellisync that came with my 665 to sync with Outlook. I was prompted during the setup if I wanted to configure mail settings now or wait. I answered a couple of questions...and boom! I had email. I have since disabled the feature as I receive and send far too much email each day to deal with the long sync times.

My wife uses Intellisync Lite and it works fine for her (basically contacts and datebook). I however, have tried all of them and continue to use DesktopToGo by Dataviz. Chapura gets more press, but imho, DTG is a better program. The user interface is easier, it recovers from errors during hotsync better and it offers all the same configuration tweaks that PocketMirror does. Works with both OS4 and OS5.
(BTW I don't have anything to do with Dataviz, i just like the program, so why not tout it.)

Do this:

Install Chapura first and then install Clie Desktop to obtain USB drivers and email condiut. DO NOT INSTALL Intellisync! Simply exit setup when Intellisync prompts begin. Remeber to choose your MAPI client!

I have been successfully syncing with Intellisync from day 1. It's important for me to have my Outlook email on here. Chapura didn't give me the ability to match fields. Yup Chapura might be easier, but not necessarily better.

I like that...IntelliStink. Or InSmelliStink. Or ItsGonnaStink. Or...

Anyway, I had a horrible experience with it. Every time I installed that piece of....software (!) I had a different experience, all bad.

I had it:
* delete contacts (all of them, and then a HotStink was kind enough to erase them from Outlook)
* duplicate contacts (all 1,200 of them) (that's what programs like UnDupe http://www.stevenscreek.com/pilot/undupe.shtml are for)

I'll never use it again.

PocketMirror I had from when I used a Palm III (then Palm Vx now a T615c) and have never had a problem.
