Well, I've RTFM and still can't find a way to make Contacts 5 my default Contacts app for my treo 650.

Any help would be appreciated.

Don't cause yourself any physical harm after this... cuz this one is right under your nose.

Find your System category (if not look under all) and find Prefs. Open this.
Locate 'Buttons' and tap that.
Find your 'Contacts' hardbutton, and change the application to Contacts 5. Tap Done, and home.

Now, put down your handheld. You've had a rough day. Nap time! :D

Well guess what! My Treo doesn't have a setting for Contacts in the Prefs/buttons settings. I had looked there first. Any other suggestions? :-(

Couldn't u just assign another PIM button to Contacts5 instead? What button are u currently pressing to bring up Contacts (the one by Palm)?

.... unless tr650 integrates directly somehow with Contacts and u want that direct integration with Contacts5 instead.

Maybe I didn't RTFM very good. It's true I didn't see any way for Contacts 5 to tell Palm that it was the default contact app. I did find in the phone app on the Treo a way to change the contact button (chich defaults to the palm contact app) to a plaun application button and then I was able to tell it what app to map to.
