I am not an native English speaker, so please forgive me my poor English...
I had a VZ90 about 3 months, and it worked just fine until yesterday...
I had CliePet's RotVZ, Chinese OS (Hand Dragon), Agendus, Hi-launcher, unistallmanager, iSilo and some Skyscape softwares (Medical softwares) on my VZ90.
Yesterday, I try to install PlamRevolt into VZ90 (a skin replacement software).
The Hotsync process was smooth, then I launched the Plamrevolt to chage the default Palm OS skin to Apple Mac skin, it worked, but when I launched an Skyscape software (5MCC 2006)---A terrible crash happened! And after soft reset, my VZ90' screen was inversed (180 degree Landscape)!!
I tried to hard reset even unplug then plug my VZ90's battery, and I also deleted CliePet's RotVZ on CliePet's instruction, but it just failed--My VZ90's screen was still inversed (180 degree Landscape)!! Furthermore, my screen digitizer also becomed 180 degree inversed (The point you tap on screen is just 180 degree inversed to what it really hits)
Please help me!! I really don't want sent my VZ90 to Japan for repair. :(
Here is some pictures of my VZ90...

After the battery pull, did you do a restore? Is it still like that right after the battery pull, without installing anything?

Yes, after the battery unplug and plug, I did a restore.
After the battery unplug and plug, the problem was still.(180 degree to landscape)
and after a restore, it is just like the right pic, the restore didn't let my VZ90's screen back to a normal position. :(
Thank you for your reply, I thought I just created a new way to ratate your VZ90's screen... :o

Maybe there is an option in RotVZ to fix it?

No...I have tried, too.
In RotVZ, the screen just went opposite to the normal potrait position. And the problem of digitizer was still...(The point you tap on screen is just 180 degree inversed to what it really hits)
Thank you for your reply.

If you Hard Reset your VZ and DON'T do a software restore, is it still messed up?
If so... well, I dunno :(
If not, then it's some setting that got changed - DON'T restore your backup right on it, but do it file by file so you can figure out which one is the problem...

After hard reset or unplug the battery, even you don't do anything, the screen is also inversed.
It also makes me more confused because VZ90 is not an NVFS device. It means everything will go to the default situation on a non-NVFS device, but why is the screen still inversed on my VZ90??
Or Can a serious crash cause the files in ROM damage or changed??
Anyway, thank you for your reply :)

Tried deleting, um, is it savedprefs.cs or something like that? I think that is the file. Try deleting it. :)

I just was thinking, how long did you unplug the battery? Try unplugging it 1.5-2 hours. :)

10+ minutes. I will try it later! Thank you for your opinions.
Here is some pictures of my inversed VZ90 just after a Hard reset.

It might, but I think a longer battery pull (around 2 hours) would be more effective :D

Finally...After a 18 hrs of unplug the battery, my VZ90 was still upside-down
:( So sad...
I think returning to Sony Service is my ONLY choice right now. :(
Thanks to so many people in this forums for your kindly help and reply.

Thank you. I have tried, too. I cannot install "Landscape"(for TH55) on VZ90, because it will cause it another crash and cannot work.
I have tried "Portrait"(for UX50), and yes, it can flip my screen to a normal position, but you still cannot digitizer your stylus, and the VZ90 will become very slow...don't know why, but I think it cannot fix the problem.
But still thank you so much. :)
Returning to Sony Service may be my ONLY choice now... :(

I have to say, this is the weirdest thing I have ever seen...

That's weird...
I'm sure that you have done so, but I noticed from my VZ that a hard reset is tricky... you have to hit the power switch immediately right after the initial screen right before the Palm logo pops up. After which the dialog of erasing everything pops up and select the Up key to hard reset. Although removing the battery trends to do the same right.
Do you have a back-up before the screen messed up?
Try deleting everything you can from the internal memory/system memory. There's may be something... a residual from a deleted program that is inverting the screen. I am not sure if the actual ROM is affected.
OR... Maybe if I or someone can do a back-up of a cleaned VZ systems memory and email that to you, and let you restore that back-up maybe that will overwrite the inverted command.
You can repeat everything again with all the programs that inverted the screen, maybe it'll reverse the reversed.
Hope everything works out...

Why do you have the white border?? Where did that come from?? Try contacting Sony if anything.
