mySkin 1.80 released with WiFi support

My input/statusbar area skinner, mySkin, now has support for the WiFi icon. People have asked and asked for this feature, and it turned out to be a lot easier to implement than I thought. There is information for skin developers in the Skins & Backgrounds forum.

Alex, now that you support the WiFi icon, is there any chance of providing a feature that would allow us to specify which icons to use? I'm thinking of TX users who may want to use the Home, Find, and Menu icons but not the Alert icon (which I've never seen lit in two years on my T3). If I get a TX, I wouldn't mind replacing the Alert icon with the WiFi icon. Alternatively, since I don't expect to use WiFi, I could leave the Alert and drop WiFi.

If the Alert icon annoys you, you can probably delete the corresponding AppSlip database (to get it back, you'll need to hard reset).

Well, you can download some LifeDrive WiFi skins (WIFISlip.prc) from 1src's freeware section, and then fix them for mySkin use with FixUpSkin.exe

I have a few of the WiFi slip prc files from the lifedrive on my SD card (launcher directory) and mySkin lists them. After selecting them, they load prompting for a soft reset. After loading them, they appear fine.

I have created a custom version of the TX wifi skin using TBmpEdit... actually it really isn't that creative. All that was changed was the gray area around the signal indicators was changed to transparent for a cleaner look when displayed with certain status bars.

What is the soft reset prompt message? The only message I can think of in that area is "These changes may not show up immediately--sometimes they may require WiFi to be toggled or a soft reset to be done. You will not see this message again."

The prompt is the one that you mention. I have chosen not to reset and the file displays fine. Upon switching slips, I have noticed that the DIA reverts to the default Palm OS skin.
