Does the NZ90 battery typically drain while turned off? I can come to work with the unit 100% charged, sync once, turn it off, and by mid-day, it's at 40%.

Anybody else have issues like this?

I did, it turned out that I would turn on the camera by pressing the shutter in my pocket, it would then after a while go the sleep again. I solved the problem by using the HOLD button while having the NZ in my pocket.

Now I have a full battery when pulling it out... (smile)

Another thing to consider is to be sure bluetooth is off (disabled) in the bluetooth prefs screen except while you're actually using it.

I've done a fair amount of research through manufacturer's information about the lithium ion polymer battery, and they do self-discharge. But what you're describing is far more than that.

There is a lab that has developed a better lithium ion polymer battery that they expect to have a 500month shelf life, but it will probably take a couple of years to get to market.

Good luck,

Denis

The battery does have drain, if for no other reason than to keep the Clie's RAM alive.

i'm having about 13 cycles now and, after a few days' watch, mine wouldn't drain itself for more than 1% in a few hours' "rest". maybe as most have said here before, the battery would just become more and more "intact" after more recharge cycles...
