I'm considering buying the EB Slipper Case for the Clie T665C.

If anyone has any info on this case, I would appreciate your input.
Pros, cons, or anything that might help.

Thanks to all that reply in advance.

JorgeLM1 -

I bought the EB Slipper for my T665 after using the metal Innopocket case for a couple of weeks. I got tired of not being able to sych in the cradle and not being able to get a firm grip on my Clié because of the hinge.

The EB case is sweet. Good design and construction, perfect fit. The magnetic clasp for the lid is almost too strong. I can synch in the case, although you do have to seat the Clié in the cradle firmly to make a good connection.

My only complaint is that the padded lid is a tad too thick, but that's a minor point. I've been using the EB Slipper every day since I bought it and I'd buy it again.

Hope that helps.

I went to their website, the leather case looks great. However, since it has magnet, will it affect the battery??

The magnet has no effect on the battery, but I wouldn't recommend storing your credit cards in this case. Storing memory sticks is no problem. (There are two slots on the inside of the lid that will accomodate either business cards or credit cards, plus two more slots for memory sticks).

While loaded up with MS and business cards, do they come into contact with any of the hardware buttons or the screen?

I've had problems with other cases keeping my Clie turned on due to contact with the screen. I'm curious how this one does?

I keep all four slots full (2 MS and two "stacks" of business cards) and I've no such problems. If fact, I don't think it's even possible with the Slipper; the slots on the underside of the lid are located closer to the top of the Clié, so when you close the case, the MS are at the very top and don't even touch the Clié at all, just the leather case. The same for the business cards in the "upper" slot. The tops of the business cards in the "lower" slot *do* rest on the upper portion of the screen, but I haven't had any problems with scratching or anything.

I'm also trying to find a good case for the T665. (I'm not sure I even need one.)
I bought the T665 Rhinoskin case at CompUSA, and it was bad news for me. I plan to return it. It can nick the T665 metal and as we all may know, you cannot hot sync in the case. For me, the Rhinoskin was more trouble than it's worth.

The EBCASES slipper case looks interesting. Does the T665 in this case still fit in your front pants pocket or shirt pocket?

Also, I like the pen/stylus that EB makes for the CLIEs. The claim it has a pen and still fits in the T665 Clie stylus slot. Does anyone have experience with this?

Also, does EB deliver reliably and quickly?

Thanks for any advice you might have.

Alan

Yup. Still fits. The Slipper adds very little to the height or width of the Clié, but the padded cover *does* make it a bit thicker.

Purchase and delivery from EB was A+.

I have had my Eb slipper for the t615 fro a little over a week now. I very little to say other than my purchase and delivery was A+. Fed Ex wouldn' tleave at my house without a signature but that is another story. At first I thought $45 was a little steep but when it was
A. spend the money and have a case that protects and is easy to carry around

or B. stick it in my pocket and get it all linty and not be able to carry anything else in that pocket

the price starts looking more reasonable.
I would buy it again if I needed to.

Do not buy the Innopocket products, since those are inferior quality materials. Additionally, the Innopocket case can hardly be opened while using just one hand.

What about Vaja cases for T? Are they better or worse then the EB one?

I am assuming you are talking about T665 not T615, since the designs based the pictures on their website are different.

You can only sync with the cable (purchase separately), not the cradle (which is included with the clie). This means you must remove the clie from the leather case in order to sync.

I think it's misleading that it says you can put 2 memory sticks. The picture shows you 2 flash cards. The slots of course will still fit the MS though....

The MS slots for the EB case are hidden, so it's unlikely that the edge of the MS will crack the screen.

Based on the picture again, there is only one magnet and seems to look better than the EB case which has 2 magnets and don't appeared nice.

The Vaja cases for T665 looks pretty nice overall, especially the bottom corners are also covered by the case (EB case isn't) and you can actually customize your leather case!! This translates to money money and money! ;)
