View Full Version : tcpmp shows hidden directory
Just installed TCPMP and when I choose to open a file it shows 2 directories - mem and vol2. All the usual folders are in vol2 such as applications/audio/documents etc with nothing in the mem folder. I cannot see the mem folder through 'Files'. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this....

TCPMP's "mem" is displayed in FileZ as "Internal", and is not displayed at all in Files. TCPMP's "vol2" is displayed as "LifeDrive" in FileZ and Files, but is selected by the icon in the upper right corner in Files. If you have as SD card in your LifeDrive, TCPMP would display this as "vol1", and FileZ and Files would display this with the volume name of the card; selected by the icon in the upper right corner in Files.
Basically, the current version of TCPMP is:
Not reading the volume names of the LifeDrive or and SD card.
Only displays files it has a chance of knowing what to do with. Since there are no files it knows what to do with in mem/internal, it displays nothing.
thanks. do you recommend FileZ as the best software for viewing my drives then? would be nice to see hidden folders....

Do I recommend FileZ? Yes.
As the best software for viewing drives? No, not the best. However, it can do some useful things that Files cannot, and it is free.

Hi,
The best explorer in my experience is RescoExplorer. It even includes a zip/unzip functionality which works better and faster than on PCs.

Hello lbugnion, slightly off topic but....
How do you select more than one file at a time in resco explorer, I can only seem to highlight one at a time. I used to use Fileprog and there was a little checkbox next to each file.
I know there must be a way, but I only registered resco explorer today and I've not worked it out yet
HYCH!

Hi,
In the toolbar (on top of the explorer), there is a small arrow pointing up. If you select it (red color), then you're in multi-file selection mode. If it is not selected, you're in single file selction mode.

I have no recommendation, but I am sure others will give their opinions. I currently only use FileZ and Files.
