Has anyone been able to get BackupBuddyVFS to work with MSMount. Manual backups seem to work OK, but all scheduled backups crash, unless MSMount is disabled. I have set MSMount to disable when Backup Buddy runs, but it still crashes.
There could be something else going on there. Do you have QuickSheet and shortcuts? If you do, try to uncheck the QuickSheet data in RAM and the shortcuts. Sometime the manual backup seems to work fine until you try to restore the RAM and crash! Also try to backup w/o encryption first and just few files, then go on to backup more files. This would narrow down the culprit(s).

No QuidkSheet or shortcuts. Don't know if it's worth it if the backups might cause crashes on restore. I may play with it a little, but I'll stick with Cardbackup if I can't use the encryption feature. Cardbackup works flawlessly with MSMount and apparently everything else I have on my Clie. Thanks for the tips.:)

With both MSMount and PIDirect it is recomended that they all file managers and other similar app be added to their exception list. I have noticed that with some apps of that nature they seem to work fine, but others as suggested no not. If you add BackupBuddyVFS to the exception list you should be able to ignore the issue since MSMount will be dissabling itself whenever that app is executed. I also have found PIDirect to be more stable.
I avoid the potential conflict of BBVFS with PiDirectII by moving the app and its related files (PiDirectExt and PiDirectPanel) to FlashROM (therefore PiDirectII is not even in the backup list) and disable it most of the time. It's enabled only when I need to use it. May be you can do something similar with MSMount.

I did have BackupBuddy in the exception list of MSMount. Still crashed. I've had the opposite experience with MSMount/PiDirect. I had all kinds of problems with PiDirect and have had none with MSMount. I have another backup solution that works flawlessly with MSMount. I use Cardbackup. I has a setting to tell it MSMount, or PIDirect is in use.
