Are there any other catagory icon sets for zlauncher? There is alot already but i'm wondering if any one knows where i can get more. I'm talking about the small icons you can put for each tab, or if you don't use tabs and you use the pop down menu, the icons you put next to lets say games, programs, movies etc...

I think it would be cool if you could import icon sets from datebk5, agendus, handyshopper, etc. into ZL to use as category icons. They would be perfect for it.

If you download Festus440's thememaker for zlauncher you can edit the category icons for zlauncher.

I agree with the hope for selecting icon sets directly on the device. When changing skins I would like to be able to maintain the same catagory set between themes. As it stands I have stopped using catagory icons because I like switching themes, but don't appreciate having to reconfigure icons on tabs everytime I switch themes.

It would really be neat to be able to use the Agendus/DateBk icons sets. Don't have to even import. ZLauncher can have it's default set of icons in Tabs detail view or allow another Pull down menu to select icons from default Agendus/DateBk icons.
IconMgr developer Chris Anton said it's not difficult to incorporate this into any program. It comes with an editor and may soon include import of BMP icons into it's database.

the thing with the ZLauncher Themes.... are they take the Category Tab ICONS and embed them into the .PRC file it creates. While you may be able to read them in to another program such as IconMgr ..... I don't know that you would be able to just read them into Zlauncher's .PRC file..... at least at this point.... nice concept though.
Currently with Festus' Thememaker... it creates those category Icons from a pre-defined list of icon names. these Icons can be modified... prior to compiling a new theme. Again, though, they end up being part of a THEME and not a seperate file.
With the ThemeMaker program you can create a new ICON-SET but this is for icons for standard applications like CLIE-MEMO, ADDRESS, DATEBOOK, MEMO, NOTEPAD, AUDIO-PLAYER...ETC... Standard APPS which come with the CLIE.

So, any progress on this yet?
I'd love to import more tab icons, but keep my existing skin.
This is the only thread I could find on the topic, sorry to bump up such an old one.

Category Tab Icons are set inside of the skin/theme. If you are missing category icons .... you would need a different skin. Currently I know of nothing where you can 'draw' icons from one to another automagically

Personally, I think they're useless

I'm not in complete disagreement with you pixel... only 50% ... LOL
I think if you set up ZL with your category Tabs on the Top or Bottom then using the category 'caption' is a good method to use and using a category tab isn't as important as you can easily see the full text.
I do think that those (such as myself) who much prefer the category Tabs on the Left or Right benefit much more from using category tab icons rather than text. Since ZL auto-expands the top/bottom category tabs to fit the text you can see the entire category name. However with the left and right tabs you usually only get a 1/2-3/4 of the category name unless it is a very short name like 'main'.
Soooooooo I like category tab icons when I use my PDA on the left and right. On top...... only category tab icon I use would be my MS tab.
